Dr. Sandra McRoberts graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987, after receiving her Master's Degree in Integrated Agricultural Development. She then went on to receive a certificate in Epidemiology at UC Davis as well. Dr. McRoberts opened PetCare Veterinary Clinic in 1996, after working with various rescue groups and clinics. Dr. McRoberts has a special interest in rabbit care and has worked closely with rabbit rescues in the area for many years. She also specializes in pocket pets including rats, hamsters, and guinea pigs. In her spare time she loves to cuddle with her dogs Gidget and Gracie, and her cats Daniel and Pudge. She enjoys vacationing in Bali, and spending time outdoors tending to her plants.
We welcomed Dr. Leighanne Goyder to PetCare Veterinary Clinic in 2015. She graduated from Ohio State University in 2010, with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. She loves vacationing in Hawaii with her husband and children, and spending time with her dog Mr. Murray Sparkles. At home, she also has her three cats, Morton, Trixie, and Nelly.
Dr. Kortney Igoe was born in Maryland and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. She has worked in zoo and wildlife medicine, mixed animal practice, and emergency medicine before focusing on small animal medicine and surgery. PetCare Veterinary Clinic welcomed her to the staff in November 2017. When not caring for her patients, she can be found cheering her two sons on in their sports endeavors.
Dr. Kelsey Broadhead graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2019 after receiving her Animal Science Degree from the UC Davis Undergraduate Program. She is a UC Davis Aggie through-and-through. During her years in school at Davis, she spent multiple summers volunteering with wildlife rescue programs, including a cheetah sanctuary in Southern Africa and a Costa Rican turtle breeding research group. After graduating, she has worked primarily in General Practice with dogs and cats, but has a desire to expand her medicine to include rabbits and other small pet exotics. In her free time, she loves to play with her 3 cats, Nox, Timmy and Kevin, and her new puppy, Kyber. She enjoys traveling and sometimes the occasional exercise-based travel including spontaneous half-marathons.
Kaitlyn has been a client service representative with Petcare since 2020. In her off time she enjoys trips to Tahoe with her dog Zephyr.
Bella started with PetCare Veterinary Clinic in 2021 as a receptionist and has since expanded her knowledge into tech work. She loves being able to work closely with animals and strives to provide the best care for them. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her Corgi, Ginger.
Erin has worked at PetCare since May 2022 as a Receptionist. She is working hard to move into Tech work and someday become certified as a Registered Veterinary Technician. She loves animals of all kinds and is always more than willing to jump in and help at any given opportunity.
Mya-Alannah has been a client service representative in the veterinary field since 2020. She strives to provide the best service to the pets and clients here at PetCare Veterinary Clinic and understands the great value our pets hold to us. In her spare time she enjoys going on walks with her dog Journey and taking her cat Jupiter on strolls in her pink stroller around the park.
Perrey has been with PetCare Veterinary since 2014 and received her registered veterinary technician license in 2018. She loves to promote preventative care and dental health awareness to keep your pets happy and healthy! When she’s not at the clinic, she loves spending time with friends and family and kayaking with her chihuahua, Ellie Bean.
Iwry has worked in the Veterinary field for the last 4 years, she loves all animals from the largest to the smallest. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband, her three dogs, Amelia, Omega and Kimmy, along with her two cats Sebastian and Baphy.
Angelena has always had a passion for caring for animals. She has volunteered with Kits and Kats, the cat rescue where she adopted her first pet, Hunter. After volunteering for ten years she was offered the amazing opportunity to work at PetCare beginning in June 2021. She is excited to continue her education and compassionately cares for you and your pet.
Hannah has been working/volunteering with animals for the past 10 years. She started working in the vet field in 2017 and has worked as a receptionist, floater, and veterinary assistant. She has been working as a Veterinary Assistant at PetCare since 2021. She decided to go back to school a few years ago and is pursuing her RVT at Cosumnes River College. She currently has a dog, 2 cats, and 2 Guinea pigs who keep her busy outside of work and school. She looks forward to getting to know all of your pets!
Brittney has had a strong love for animals starting at a very young age. She has been working in the Veterinary field for 12 years. In her spare time, she likes to pet sit and spend time with her husband and fur babies.
Audrey is one of our surgical Technicians. She has been caring for animals large and small for the duration of her life. During her off time, she enjoys hiking, fishing, plant identification and traveling. She has been part of the PetCare family over a year now and is looking forward to caring for your fur babies.
Amy has been working in the veterinary field for almost 17 years as a Veterinary Assistant. Her love for all animals came at a very early age and has been a consistent part of my life. She shares my home with 6 elderly cats and a 13-year-old Weibull. In her spare time, she love bicycle rides, swimming with her dog, paddle boarding, and rollerblading. However, when she is ready for quiet time, she enjoys a good book, cross-stitching or an episode of Dateline.
Summer has always had a deep connection with animals and has enjoyed caring for them her whole life, caring for them has been something she really loves. Growing up she had horses, goats, dogs, chickens and even exotics like cockatiels, guinea pigs, and a Chinese water dragon. She has three dogs, named Billy, Jade, and Smoosh as well as two bearded dragons named Rango and Astro. She loves to hike with her dogs. Summer has too many hobbies to list, but her top favorites would be gardening, fishing, camping and anything that has to do with nature.
Marco entered the veterinary field as a Veterinary Assistant in 2020 after graduating from UC Davis with a degree In Animal Science. He is currently working towards obtaining his license to become a Registered Veterinary Technician to further expand his knowledge of animal medicine. During his time, he likes to pester his two German Shepherds Rocco and Cereza.
